Do you have a clean room or do you send my device out for cleanroom services?
When your device requires specialized repairs within the sealed hard drive’s media compartment, Data Rescue MDs engineers perform the necessary cleanroom services in our own, dedicated, ISO compliant cleanroom environment to recover your data.
How long will the recovery take?
Our data recovery specialists normally complete the FREE evaluation within 24 to 48 hours of receiving your device. When the evaluation is completed we will determine the cost and approximate timeframe to recover and return your data to you. If time is critical, we offer 24/7 expedited services for an additional fee.
Where are you located?
Data Rescue MDs’ main office is conveniently located in Lake Forest, IL, in the heart of the Midwest, and has several drop-off locations in the Chicago-Milwaukee corridor. We also service the entire continental United States providing prepaid shipping labels when dropping off your device(s) is inconvenient.
Can you evaluate the device while I wait?
We have a dedicated, first-come-first-served triage evaluation queue. The evaluation process is normally completed within 24 to 48 hours from the time you drop off your device(s). When requesting the expedited service tier, your device(s) are moved to the front of the evaluation queue.
How do I get my device to Data Rescue MDs?
Click the “Start My Recovery” button to begin the process. You will receive a confirmation email with an initial service ticket. Local clients may drop off their device at our Lake Forest office or one of our convenient drop-off locations. When dropping off your device is inconvenient, request a prepaid shipping label, which will include instructions describing how to pack your device(s) securely for shipping.
How will my data be returned to me?
When the data recovery process is completed we will transfer your data to a new storage device. You have a choice to purchase a new drive from us or you may provide us with a new device of your own. When the invoice is paid your device(s) is made available for you to pick up or is shipped back to you if you are not a local client.
